Privacy Policy
Plain-English summary. My Auto Angel is a lead-generation site, not an insurance company. When you complete the quote form we share the information you provide with one or more participating insurance carriers and lead marketplaces (our “Marketing Partners”) so that they can contact you with quotes. We do not sell your information to data brokers. You can opt out of having your data shared at any time on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
1. Who we are
“My Auto Angel”, “we”, “us” and
“our” refer to the operator of quote.myautoangel.com.
We are a marketing service that connects U.S. consumers shopping for auto
insurance with licensed carriers and the Allstate Lead Marketplace. We are
not an insurance company, agent, broker, or producer, and we do not issue
insurance policies.
2. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect
information when you visit quote.myautoangel.com (the
“Site”) or interact with our quote-matching service. Once your
information is shared with a Marketing Partner, that partner’s own
privacy notice governs how it handles your data. A list of current
Marketing Partners and links to their privacy notices appears in
Section 9.
3. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers — name, postal address, email address, phone number, ZIP code, IP address, and a session identifier we generate to track funnel progress.
- Demographic information — date of birth, gender, marital status, occupation, education, and homeowner / renter status, to the extent you provide them.
- Vehicle and driving information — year, make, model, trim, ownership status, primary use, annual mileage, license status, prior incidents, and current insurance details. We do not collect a full Vehicle Identification Number (VIN); we use only a public 8-character VIN stub derived from the year/make/model you select.
- Consent and compliance metadata — the timestamp of your TCPA disclosure acknowledgement, the version of the disclosure shown, a SHA-256 hash of the disclosure text, your IP address, and the user-agent string of the browser used to submit the form.
- Usage data — pages visited, referring URL, device type, and similar analytics signals collected automatically as you interact with the Site.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, driver’s license numbers, or biometric data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
4. How we collect information
- Directly from you, when you submit the quote form.
- Automatically from your browser, through cookies and server logs.
- From licensed third-party data providers, including the U.S. Department of Transportation National Highway Traffic Safety Administration vPIC and Complaints datasets, which we use to populate vehicle make/model lookups and the public 8-character VIN stub.
5. How we use your information
- To match you with one or more Marketing Partners that quote auto insurance in your state.
-
To submit your information to the Allstate Lead Marketplace
(
int.allstateleadmarketplace.comin development,api.allstateleadmarketplace.comin production) under our vendor agreement so a participating carrier can purchase the lead and contact you. - To detect fraud, prevent abuse of the Site, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve our funnel, debug technical issues, and analyze conversion.
6. Disclosure of your information
We disclose your personal information to the following categories of recipients:
- Marketing Partners — the licensed insurance carriers and lead-marketplace operators listed in Section 9. They use your information to contact you with quotes and offers and may retain it under their own privacy notice.
- Service providers — cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), error and performance monitoring, email and SMS delivery, and analytics vendors. They process data only on our behalf and under written contract.
- Legal recipients — courts, regulators, or law enforcement when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
7. Sale and sharing of personal information
Because we are a lead-generation service, our transfer of your information to a Marketing Partner who pays us a referral fee may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in Virginia, Connecticut, Colorado, Utah, and Texas. We do not sell or share information about consumers we know to be under 16 without affirmative authorization. You can opt out of sale or sharing at any time by submitting a request on our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
8. Your privacy rights

- Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

For information already shared with a Marketing Partner, you must contact that partner directly using the link provided in Section 9; we cannot delete or modify records that no longer reside in our systems.
